Good news for Europeans who have been saving their Star rewards for a rainy day. Now that the UK's official Nintendo website has been revamped, an announcement awaits saying its users can trade in their Stars for some much more useful Wii Points.
The feature is called Wii Points Card Shop, and it requires that your Club Nintendo account is linked to your Wii Shop Channel account.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

I can't believe how much this stressed me. I understand the website is new, but I didn't expect it to be so glitchy. I must have tried to re-do that form around 17 times before I actually got the stupid thing to work. Then I had to confirm my registration via Parental e-mail. That was annoying. And then I finally get to the Wii Points shop. Just to find out it's not working! I love you Nintendo.

Yeah well if you ask me it's crap, they have limited supplies of each card amounts, I mean I just went on to get some, and what do ya know they sold out on all values of cards. Why can't they just give codes, and how can they possibly run out? Anyway it's 1000 Wii Points for 4000 Nintendo stars. Each game registered = 200 stars, and more for consoles.

Why is it only in Europe?

We Americans always get the short end of the stick.

Ain't fair.

Why doesn't America get anything interesting? Japan already received the classic SNES controller, now Europe gets Wii point trade ins. I'm feeling a little left out. And when do we get the Everyones Nintendo channel!?

I was very pleased to read this article. With all my stars I was able to buy around two N64 games. However, as soon as I tried to redeem stars for Wii Points on the site, I found that all the cards were sold out! I knew it was too good to be true.

This is annoying. How can they have already sold out of codes?

All you americans quit complaining, we have to pay almost twice the amount of what you pay, have to wait longer for everything to be released, get laughed at because we supposedly have a posh voice and rotten teeth, and all you care about is that you don't save any money.

It's too hard to get anything.

Wiieww, you're right. For Europeans that is. Japanese people get EVERYTHING though.

Aussies always get the short straw. Always last to get everything, games, updates etc.

When I checked out the star rewards I couldn't believe how lame they are. So much for rewarding loyal customers. I've now taken ages messing around adding my codes for game/console and doing that bloody market research every time for each product and then to get screwed over by Nintendo when they hold back on points cards. How they can run out of electronic codes is beyond comprehension. Get it together Nintendo. I feel robbed.

Finally us europeans get something first! Ha.

This code exchange is crap, I logged on 20 times and no cards available. All I want to get is the web browser.

All you Americans complain. Did you watch the Nintendo stars catalogue for the last.. uhh.. 6 YEARS?! There was nothing. NOTHING. I managed to get myself a copy of the pokemon emerald guide a while back (I only have ruby and sapphire). I just bought it because I have thousands of stars lying around. Meh.

The reason you Americans don't get this rule is because (well, my opinion), look at Smash Bros. Didn't get to play it for 5 months after everyone else. Another example, Animal Crossing on the GC, 3 years. Basically they're being sympathetic.
