No More Heroes sells a million!

No More Heroes sells a million!

Nah I'm just kidding, it hasn't sold a million or anything. But No More Heroes, which was released yesterday in North America, is garnishing some great review scores:

  • GameSpot - 9/10
  • IGN - 7.8/10
  • Gamepro - 4.5/5 *Editor's Choice*

The game also tops GameFly's request list:

  1. No More Heroes (Ubisoft)
  2. Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo)
  3. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)
  4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo)
  5. Endless Ocean (Nintendo)

Hopefully sales will be adequate enough for Suda 51 to make a sequel.

If we can persuade Suda 51 that it's not Nintendo's fault that the non-Nintendo titles aren't selling high, they might consider the sequel.

I highly doubt that he will make a sequel. His impression with the Wii right now is not very good because of the sales. I don't think that even if the sales go up, he'll change his mind because it's a belief perseverance kind of thing and it's hard to change your first impression unless something miraculous happens.

Go suda51, you the man! IGN can also suck it hard. NMH is way higher than a 7.8. A 9.5 is where it should be. I'll write a review a little later when I finish it.

I doubt Suda will make a sequel, they're disappointed with the Wii.

Actually Suda stated before he released his opinion on Wii software sells that he is ready to make a sequel.

X-play gave it 5/5. I give it a 6/5, it's that good.

I wouldn't mind reviewing this thing. I might get up there with Erik and those other reviewers 'round here.

Aw man, you had me going that it sold a lot. Nice to see it's the top on GameFly.

Heh, they should add Travis in Brawl. I mean the main character of NO MORE HEROES.

You got me there buddy, but save that headline for later. It's about time that a game like this is added to the Wii's library. No More Heroes and Zak and Wiki are going to be my summer Wii games, but right now I've got bills to pay.

IGN are biased. No More Heroes, slight frame rate drops, slight pop up issues (I'm not defending it, I hate bugs). IGN make an issue of it and downgrade the score. But Bioshock had much more glitch issues and the score wasn't dropped. Halo 2 on the xbox had a dreadful amount of glitches, bugs and slow loading and pop up and again IGN didn't downgrade the score. That's blatant biased reviewing, all games with issues should be down scored not just games on a Nintendo format.

Just to be safe let me name some mature games coming out in 2008. Fatal Frame 4, Sadness, No more heroes (already out), Monster Hunter 3, possibly Resident Evil 5 (still not confirmed yet not denied) and Alone in the dark. Oh, and Suda 51 is working on a new Wii game. Unknown at the moment.

Well I think ign tried to compare it to other sandbox games, that the overworld was bad and such. I think that is rather unfair, it's not a sandbox, there's no interaction with people, you can't attack in the overworld. It should have been seen as a hub for level selecting, like SMG or such, ign's review was way low, this is my favorite game since and maybe better than bioshock.

I'm willin' to try this game out. It's not often I play games that don't have Mario, Sonic, etc. In them.
