Nintendo have stated that N64 games on the virtual console will not offer rumble support, it's thought this is because the classic pad has no rumble feature. Disappointing news for those who want to use their Gamecube controllers to play VC games though.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Well that blows.

Well they can always change that later.

Damn, and I thought that the SIXAXIS sucked. The future of force feedback is numbered. Honestly, I took off the rumble pack while playing Starfox 64 because it interfered with the ergonomics.

Can't we just play N64 games with the Gamecube controller? It's got built in rumble.

I don't really care.

Bummer.

Who cares? Honestly, if you play a game with too much rumbling in it for too long (Sonic Riders for instance) then your arms start throbbing. For me anyway.
WolfKolf said:
Yeah. I'm sure they will put that in on future games. The N64 Zelda needs rumble to play the game and if they don't put that game on the VC I will eat my hat.

Mabe they'll make a second version of the classic pad so we can have some rumble in the controller.

I hate rumble there is no point to it.

Who cares?! I just want to download Banjo-Kazooie!

Or maybe they'll have a patch update that allows rumble feature if you use a GCN controller. Besides that, it's not like there was rumble for any of the VC systems except the N64.

Like how do you need it for Zelda?
Elementrat said:
Oh well. I really don't see this as such a big problem. I think the old classics will be fun to boot up for a little Nostalgia, regardless of a rumble feature

Eh, too bad. Not that bad though, rumble is unhealthy anyways .
And giving the classic pad rumble won't solve the problem either.

What the heck is rumble anyway?
Ekaj185 said:
Rumble is when your controller vibrates when something happens in-game. Like a car exploding, or your character getting damaged.
Dapple said:
Rumble is like if you get hit the controller will rumble in your hands. Generally used for special events. You don't need rumble to play Zelda. But I think what wolfkolf meant was that in Zelda 64 you can get a 'stone rumblepack' in game. Which means if you have a rumble pack (in real life) then if you're near a secret in the game your rumble pack will set off. So without rumble you could miss out on some valuable secret things. Like 200 rupees or whatever it may be. So no you don't need it.

I'm fine with that.

That's OK. At least I get to play Mario 64 and Zelda! Best on the 64.
