Games of the 8-bit lolmachine, Sega Master System will soon be hitting the Virtual Console. The good news is they'll be cheaper in the US than over in Japan, selling for just 400 Wii Points.
The first two titles to be released are:

Cool. I would like the Game boy to be on VC.

Come on that system was way better than nes and helped revolutionize gaming from then until now! And games then actually posed a challenge unlike most games today. If you can't appreciate games from the past how can you even appreciate them today.

Wow 400 Wii points! That's pretty good.

Wonderboy, yeah I remember that. The part where you had to do rock paper scissors to continue was totally the highpoint of the game gameplay wise.

What? Master System did better here than Japan, it should be more expensive, and where are Gameboy and Saturn?
Tennindo said:
Saturn. Dude that's a great one. I would love to see that on VC.
jskrdude said:
I want Saturn so bad. But too bad the Saturn controller had more face buttons than the classic controller.

I'm with Tenindo. I predicted a Gameboy VC release when the VC was announced. Let's hope to see it come true. With the addition of the Master system (which you know will include the Game Gear, since it's the same thing), I can feel it getting closer.

Suikoden 1 and 2 please.

I've never played the Master System, so I can't judge the games. Can't argue with 400 points though. And why did the Saturn controller have so many buttons?

*crosses fingers* Miracle Warriors, Miracle Warriors, Miracle Warriors, please.

Yay! And yes, I agree, Saturn would be nice. But as jskrdude said, it's problematic. You'd have to only do certain games. Ugh. NiGHTS would work though. It only used two of the buttons.

The Sega Saturn could be made to work well, the problem being that it'd be better with the Classic and not Gamecube controller. Most games didn't really use all six face buttons at once. For example, in Duke Nukem 3D, two buttons were simply for switching weapons, these could easily be done with the ZL and ZR buttons. NiGHTS used barely any buttons. Guardian Heroes used many of the buttons, but the XYZ buttons weren't used for fighting, so the Spell and Undead Hero buttons could be ZL and ZR also. Not too many games really made you make frequent and precise use of all six buttons at once, and so it could work fairly well. Radiant Silvergun would work, seeing as the original game used three buttons, and the Saturn only used the extra buttons to make it easier. The shoulder buttons could still be sword, and the Z buttons could be A+B and B+C, with the X button being A+C or something like that, those are just examples of defaults. Even Death Tank, which put great use to every button, could be made to work. L= Left are= Right D-PadAnalog stick= Aim and power be= Fire why= JumpjetHovercoil X= Shield A= Targeting Computer ZL= Weapon switch ZR= Weapon switch The main problem is the fact that the Wii lacks a hard drive. The Classic controller has just the same amount of buttons as the Saturn, although placed differently. Unfortunately, the GameCube does not, but I'm sure improvisations could be made (i. E. C-Stick movement being a button, C-Stick LeftRight being two buttons, etc). I could see previousnext weapon switching being done with C-Stick leftright. Again, the Classic controller has exactly enough buttons to work for Saturn, and the Gamecube controller could be made to work well enough. The system also supports eight controllers, more than enough for Death Tank's 1-6 or 7 players, and enough for 8-Player Saturn Bomberman. Maybe DS connectivity could be used in the future to remedy that and allow all 10 in Saturn Bomberman. The main problem here is purely file size.
