TMNT Smash-Up character news

TMNT Smash-Up character news

Ubisoft has released a trailer showing off the moves of four characters from TMNT: Smash Up. It seems they'll be dragging out character news for a while to come, similar to what happened with Brawl.

Introducing Donatello? Like there was a chance he wouldn't be in. I guess I'm out of touch with the franchise since I don't recognize one or two of these characters. The list of fighters so far looks like this:

    TMNT Smash-Up roster
  • Donatello
  • Leonardo
  • Raphael
  • Michelangelo
  • Master Splinter
  • April O'Neil
  • Shredder
  • Nightwatcher
  • Karai
  • Fugitoid

Just a dumb attempt to remake the brawl franchise. I bet this company wanted all the buzz brawl had when people were obsessing over which characters were going to be in brawl. Now they want us to be obsessing which characters are going to be in this game? Who the hell are these people? If you want us obsessing over which characters are going to be in the game, they have to be recognizable.

Insultman911: I agree, I used to watch TMNT and even I don't recognize a lot of these characters. Although I'd like to see a fight between Rob and that Fugitoid thing (R.O.B FTW).

Hm, I'm still not on-board with this game. It's worth a rental for now. Wasn't an avid fan of TMNT (except the one GameCube game), show and games. Then they put out videos showing the game as "slow". What, is That the price we pay to get better online on this game? Ugh. They got to do better than this.

Well said, insultman911, this game is looking WAY too much like brawl now. Which defeats the purpose of even buying except that you control.. weird turtles.. and robots. I prefer Nintendo characters.

Chris123: Not really most of us are Nintendo fans not TMNT fans. Yea a lot of us would probably buy it, but then would immediately replace it with Brawl when it came out.

A 2on2 vs mode would be awesome featuring Gen. Tragg and Lt. Granite; Bbop and Rocksteady; Tohka and Rhazzar; Wingnut and Screwloose; Usaigai and Gen complete with them being able to be unlocked, and a fighting environment for each of them.

I went to gamestop today to get a dsi. When I saw a tmnt game for Wii for pre-order. When I saw the back it said "From the dudes who brought you Super Samsh Bros. Brawl" and I love the smash bros. And tmnt was my favorite tv show when I was young. So I thought Awesome! But that's beside the point, I know 3 more characters from this other site from a character teaser just like this and I saw Raphael (Introduced with) FOOT NINJA, CASEY JONES & THE ULTROMINATER. Cool huh? Just to tell ya more characters. Sorry if I spoiled it for ya.

It would be awesome if they could get Tatsu, the Rat King, Bebop and Rocksteady here.

Arcade gamer: I'm a fairly big fan of TMNT and I don't recognize half the characters on the roster. It's not that the game will be bad, it's just I doubt it will have anything different enough from Brawl to make me want to buy it. Maybe if the reviewers state there is a significant difference between it and Brawl I'll check it out. Also I'll have you know I consider insultman one of the most intelligent posters here.
