Console sales statistics site NexGenWars show that the Wii has already sold well over twice as many units as the PS3.
At the time of writing the PS3 sales are at 258,326 while the Wii surges to an impressive 662,719. Note these numbers are only estimates, but still. Go Wii!

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

And everyone buying one had fun and made new friends whereas ps3 was all about the GANGSTAR ATTITUDE. Too many rockstar games rotted their brains, typical.

Sweet. Go Wii! My life can't get any better!

Psh, "we have to take large risks to reap the rewards". What rewards, Sony? Your retarded "gangsta" fanboys killing each other just so they can sell your product on eBay for 5 times as much money as you're selling it for? Haha, enjoy your "rewards". I hope some lawsuits come out of this. And as for the Wii: Go Wii all the way!

Yeah, this is what you get Sony. I have to agree with cubboy and scooby jew. The 360 was the same way too. Killing each other for a stupid video game system. That is despicable. Not only that, I bet someone actually cried when they couldn't get a PS3 (to that person; Get a life). Anyways, good job Wii! The Wii made my local news for the long lines and satisfaction. One teen noted that if he wanted to buy a PS3, he would have to sell an arm or leg. Others who were interviewed stated that this is where all of Nintendo's fans come together. I didn't hear of any thefts or kills near my area. Hope it was the same in other areas. Good work Wii!

I made new friends waiting in line for the Wii on Saturday night and no one ever tried to take our spot. In fact, one guy brought blankets to share and another lady went home and made us hot chocolate because it was cold out! Far cry from a POS3 stampede, I suppose. Cheers to Nintendo for taking the risky path of innovation instead of raw horsepower for "hit & fade" graphics. Oh yeah, and for making enough consoles so people don't turn all primal on each other.

I work for Gamestop and I got to work midnight release and pick up my preordered Wii. Everyone who showed up was very polite and patient. It was my first time working a system release and from all the horror stories I've heard about other systems (including the ps3 not but a couple days earlier) I was a tad nervous, but it was a very relaxed and smooth night. Then again I've never had a bad Nintendo product customer (basically anyone buying Nintendo products).

Wii pwns you Sony. Retreat from the Video Game market and get back in electronics where you belong. Nobody likes you. (Ok some people do, but all 5 of them only like you because you have Rockstar on your side).
Ja-Mez said:
I know Elementrat! Sony was just a TV and camera making company and decided to copy Nintendo and Sega at their game. Sony put Sega, Capcom and the Dreamcast under but Nintendo lived through it. X-Box has been the toughest competitor yet with its graphics from Microsoft. It's only great because more money is financed into it. It is the size of a computer and the Wii is a couple of DVD cases! Wii own3s all!

Sony and Nintendo used to be partners. In fact the Playstation was at first going to be a Nintendo product until Nintendo backed out of the partnership because they would lose over $100,000.
Elementrat said:
Really Chris? I didn't know that. Well. A little competition does help the market. As much as I love Nintendo, if they were the only company making games/systems, prices would be jacked up.

Yes that's right Sony and Nintendo originally collaborated on a project for a CD-rom system for the SNES (of note the SNES has a Sony sound chip - yes Sony is what pumps out those awesome sounds through the SNES). Nintendo backed out of the CD-rom project with Sony and went with Phillips (CDi Zelda). Sony then took what they had started with Nintendo and released the Playstation. Sony shareholders weren't keen on the idea of a game console at the time but Kutaragi pushed hard enough to make it happen. 10 years later let's hope Nintendo can return to their spot on top of the game world! Wii!

It's nice to see people want to play games and have fun rather than stare at graphics, which seems to be a trend with the Playstation franchise. A lot of people are buying the Wii as a "secondary console" with either an Xbox 360, PS3 or both, which is nice. Shame I'm not getting my Wii until further notice this week.

That's right. Wii filling up more homes than Ps3. Look at the price $600 to $250. Wii sold x2 more than ps3.
