Struggling to find yourself a Wii? You could be in for bad news! After the NPD sales figures for March, analysts have been reviewing the numbers and drawing up conclusions.
Wii sold 259,000 units, significantly more than its next-gen rivals. Analysts agree that Wii could have sold a lot more if not for supply shortages. Video game analyst for IDC, Billy Pidgeon (eyy!) commented:
"I believe the Wii will continue strong growth although supply continues to be a problem. I'd like to see Wii hardware shipping in larger quantities or mass-market consumers may cool on it. Having said that, I don't believe supply will be met for the Wii until 2009".
2009! Let's hope Big N can start churning out a lot more Wiis.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

It's all about supply and demand, but come on Nintendo. Quit being so greedy and just ship out a mass amount of Wiis, or you could lose some customers.

Wow, that sucks for all those who can't find it. Start lookin' on Ebay!

That stinks for the people who still don't have wiis. But I do think that Nintendo is kind of doing this on purpose so they can keep people psyched about the Wii and to help their business somehow.

That's alright with me. I would be fine with that because that means the wii will keep selling like hotcakes until after 2009! And it will probably keep selling well after that.

I'm just lucky I got a Wii myself. If I wasn't EB Games' #1 Customer, it would have been tough. I'm just lucky I asked if they could hold on to one for me.

And I was hoping I would be able to get one when I had enough money (my birthday).

Ebay, when it comes to Wii, is completely corrupted. It's prices for these things just pile up. I hate how people just buy one and then sell it for a higher price.

That's a real stretch but I have my Wii already and I'm just waiting on games.

This analyst seems a bit too optimistic for the sake of the Wii. I predict shortages will end around october, and go out again during the holidays, then fix themselves around feb08.

Woah! As for all of you guys who are one Wii short, my deepest condolences.

Nooo! Ah crap, now I won't get to play Smash Bros Brawl, Fire Emblem, or Sonic and the Secret Rings, or anything for that matter. This SUCKS.

It's alright really 'cause those people who want one now and not before are unlucky.

I think it stinks that a massive company can't even produce enough Wii after all the hype.

After 4 months and 14 days I finally got my Wii today, way too long. But I'm glad I finally have it. I think the worst thing about the Wii is its supply. The Wii itself just owns big time.

Arrgh! I'm supposed to be getting one for my birthday in July. I am NOT waiting until 2009! No, sir.
