Wii sold out in Canada too, eh

According to Nintendo of Canada the Wii has sold all of its units across the country.

Marketing manager Farjad Iravani commented "There might be some scattered stores aboot that have a couple of units here and there, but in terms of the national picture we have sold through the Canadian allocation, eh".

More shipments of consoles are expected to arrive every week. Big N hope to sell four million units by the end of the holiday season.

Yea, I went to my local toys r us and they were sold out, I ended up heading out to 8 different places and not 1 had a Wii for me. I was thinking of jumping off a cliff because little kids were getting it before me. Anyways I heard Thursday and Friday are big days for more shipments. Let's cross our fingers!

Ok guys stop making fun of Canadians. I'm canadian and we don't say "Eh" at the end of every sentence! I was lucky enough to get a Wii at least.

Is there any certain word of when more systems will be coming to Canada. Is it going to be by Christmas, cause I was expecting to wait longer than that for more.

Luke it would have been much funnier if you said. 'at the end of every sentence, eh?' :D. Go on I'm Aussie, give me some Aussie jokes because I don't know any. Well we say New 'Zulanders' root sheep, because there's so many over there and they say we root sheep! Silly Sheep-rooting-New Zealanders. Oh, and bad luck for you Canada.

Well best buy and future shop in Vancouver will be getting a new shipment this Friday morning. Have any of you thought about "calling" a store and "asking" when they will get more? I did. Oh and by the way, isn't it pronounced "ay"?

"Eh" Jokes are the most recognition we get from America. Britain is not the US' number one economical partner.

What's going on all you canadians, and Americans. I am from Canada myself and what's up with EH! We don't say that as much as everyone thinks, but we sure like to party over here EH. I got my Wii at Walmart. For my 5 year old but I think I might get in on it as well. Looks like you have to play the same way I used to with the first mario brothers. We were all moving back then while playing, tongues hanging out and everything. Anyway Later guys and good luck with the Wii's.

Nice touch with the misquote "aboot" lol. Oh well. All in good fun I guess. It's like hearing the same old corny jokes over and over again by a family member. You put up with them because of who they are =).

Dad going NUTS said:

I want a Wii, but sick and tired of all the looking. Stores are making you enter a draw to have a chance at buying one. Wait 3 hours for a store to open just to find out you have earned a place in line to get a ticket on a draw that will be held 3 more hours from now. That's 6 hours and no Wii. Do I still want a Wii for my kid to open Christmas day? YES; I must be nuts.

Avatar

Ryan.H said:

I hear you, (Dad going NUTS) the Wii is almost impossible to get arround here. I have been looking for a place with wii's in stock but every place I look in the wii's are out of stock at 4:00am and nobody says anythng about when they are going to get more ! Also if you live in Ontario, Orangeville has wii's in stock in their Wal-mart every day at 4:00am, and you do not have to enter a draw to win them! I hope this helps you with getting your son a Wii for Christmas!

It is currently march 20/2008 and I am still having one hell of a time finding a Wii. Ooh and by the way don't be showing disrespect to Canadians, yes some of us do say "eh" but I think it's better than the Americans saying "Huh".
