According to figures from the NPD Group, Wii Play was the best selling title of 2008 across all platforms in the US. Clearly a lot of people will have bought it for the controller bundled in with the game, but a win is a win. This is how the top 5 sellers looked:

Wii Play got old after about an hour. The only reason I got it is for the wiimote and that is probably why so many people bought it.
