Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Published by LucasArts, Developed by Krome
Genres: Action / Fighting (2 players)
US release date: Sep 16th, 2008 | EU release date: Sep 19th, 2008
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will come to the Wii home videogame system from Nintendo next spring, offering owners the unique chance to live out their Jedi fantasies by wielding the Wii Remote as a lightsaber while using the Nunchuk controller to torment foes with their Force powers.
The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The game's expansive story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.
The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will also add an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends to determine the ultimate Jedi Master.
"The Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console's motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life," said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts. "We've worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force."
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has no review on Wii's World.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Yeah the trailer for this game is amazing looking. Opening scene is a Sith Lord crashing the Millennium Falcon out of mid air.
Darth Judicar said:
He crashes a Star Destroyer. Not the Falcon.
I saw the trailer too. My brother was dying for this game to come on the Wii, and guess what, it did.
I hope you use the Wii remote for a light saber.
MC loco said:
I hope you actually can crash vehicles like the star destroyer.

I hope I get a Wii and this is going to be awesome but sadly the Xbox360 has it too.

Hey ZombieWii, that is not a sith lord, it is Darth Vader's new "Secret Apprentice". And that is not the Millennium Falcon he's crashing, it's an Imperial Star Destroyer, and they are huge! It takes an immense amount of force power to even effect one of those.

I read that it is coming out in April, 2008.
The best nerd of Star Wars, I am. Use the force and own you all, I will.

Stop talking in backwards tongue, it's really annoying. This game is going to rock. Darth Maul kicks butt!

This game IS going to rock. I'm thinking about buying it on the first day it comes out. I can't wait.
I saw the trailer of this game and it looks pretty good, but I think the powers will be kind of easy to use and get boring quickly.
Is anyone sure this is coming out for the Wii? It looks amazing, but very graphics and physics intensive, not so much on the light saber side of things.
Are the Storm Troopers and all the other Imperial machines now part of the New Republic? Because I find it odd for the Apprentice of Darth Vader to be fighting against them unless the New Republic now controls the Storm Troopers and Machines.

This is the first Star Wars game I am thinking about buying. It looks great, and Wii-mote Lightsaber duels look like the best part of the package. Now I can show my brother just how much cooler the Sith are than the Jedi.
Okay, yeah, Wiimote lightsabers, cool, yippee, if I get this game the first thing I'm doing is looking up all the cheats and running through the whole thing in god mode! Now THAT sounds like fun, then I can sell it to some kid for twice what I paid for it, even MORE fun.
The force is strong with this one.
I hope you can customize your person like in Star Wars: KOTOR, that'd be awesome. I'll be getting it either way though.
I like the new screens, I wanna fight that blue haired lass! And kick her ass.
Oh yes. It will be mine.
This has been a secret ambition for me, but I have always wanted to join the dark side! Too bad the Sith craze is, like, over.

You are part of the Rebel alliance and a traitor, take her away.
I hope you have the ability to change the star wars story in this game so the sith will rule.
This might be off topic but, has anyone heard of a new star wars game based on the Clone Wars? There is supposed to be a Wii version.

This is crazy! I wonder if in the end of the game, Darth Sidious finds out Darth Vader has an apprentice? And I thought if a Sith Lord starts teaching someone they need a darth name? If this guy is a secret apprentice, shouldn't he have a name, like.. Darth Decrane, or Darth Carnagis, or something?
I saw the creator play it and it looked simple but totally cool.

I own this game and it's totally awesome. Any Star wars junkie who doesn't own this should get a life and buy it NOW.

It's such a short game, I beat it in 4 hours.
I have this game and it is freaking awesome! The way they incorporate the force into the game is just plain genius! The main character just feels like he was slapped onto the game, though because he barely says anything.

You know what, I have this game for my ps2 and it's not bad but it's short and the xbox console stinks.
