US release date: Nov 11th, 2008 | EU release date: -
Set two years after the events of the award-winning Tales of Symphonia, Dawn of the New World introduces two new young heroes, Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi, as they journey to find the cause of a catastrophic change in their world.
Crossing paths with fan-favourite characters such as Lloyd, Colette and Sheena, the brave adventurers will also encounter a spirit known as Ratatosk, lord of all monsters, who will grant them new and incredible powers over the fearsome creatures that now roam the land.
Debuting a major new gameplay system for the Tales series, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World allows players to capture more than 200 unique monsters that they face in battle. Players can feed these monsters to make them more powerful, and even evolve them into several new fearsome forms. Up to three monsters can be taken into any battle situation, offering unique benefits against enemies and imparting new strategic depth to the Tales series' lauded real-time battle system.
Brand new content exclusive to the PAL version of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World include the Gallery Mode and head accessories. Unlocked once the game is completed, the Gallery Mode includes a Skits Library containing viewable skits of the gameplay, and an Image Library with a wealth of design sketches, illustrations, pack art and more. The game also contains a number of new themed masks and head accessories for Emil and Marta which are exclusive to the PAL version and allow players to customise the characters in battle and will also add new special effects during fights.
Featuring a massive cast of returning playable characters, Dawn of the New World offers complete freedom in creating a custom party that best suits the needs of each enemy encounter. Up to four players can enjoy the full game together cooperatively, working together to strategically complete each battle.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).
Yes! I loved the previous one and I can't wait for this.

Me too! I beat the game six times and I'm working on the seventh.
Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:
No! It's coming to Japan in 2008 and the game will take place two years later with new main characters, but I'm not sure about the others and it will have the same gameplay as the first one.
Do you think that the game will come out in Europe too? *hopes*.
Thank you Namco, can't wait to get it. I'll skip school for when it comes out. The previous game was how I spent my holidays in uk.

Will it come out in the Usa?

Zelos is cool with an awesome voice track, Kratos has the superior move set though (judgment). I would like to see an older Lloyd (longer hair), The Devils arms have to return. I can kill Mithos' final form in three hits with Lloyd's.
Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:
Lloyd with longer hair? No but I hope I'll be able to play or see Regal and Colette. Those are my favorite characters.
No you will not be able to play with the characters from tos.
Mithos the halfelf said:
No matter what, lloyd is the best character. His cross-swords are so cool! I can't wait for TOS 2 in the USA.
Zelos Forever said:
How about Lloyd with hair like kratos? As long as Zelos returns I'm happy, and what about Collete/Lloyd or Zelos/Sheena?
Tales of Wii said:
Well, I liked the first one; Kratos is the man. Yet the instruments from rebuilding Luin were the strongest weapons in the game? And Mithos does little damage, take a few hits and dies? Lame. The giant skeleton is the REAL boss of the 1st game. Kind of like Omega of the FF series.
This game. Man I love you guys at namco for making this. I hope you get to be some of the original characters and I hope the story is as deep and long as the first, I love it.
Just thinking about the last game makes me all excited because the story was so damn great.
Zelos forever, I don't think Zelos is returning, because in the first one, you have the option to kill him off and replace him with Kratos. But then again, I could be wrong.
The tales of symphonia for gamecube was one of the best games I have ever played. I can't think how great this is going to be, with Wii controls etc.
In an interview it was said that all characters but kratos are going to appear (but not necessarily playable) in the game.
I'm pretty sure it's with new characters, but it continues of from the first TOS. But you will come across and interact with the old characters.
Oh my god I am really, REALLY stoked. ToS changed my life.
Richter reminds me of Kratos. And is it just me or does Lloyd act/look evil now?
WOW! I can not wait to get this, it's gonna be amazing. But I am not really happy about them making Lloyd like evil.

Tales of Symphonia is the best RPG of all time, it alone is up there with FF and Dragon Quest.
I hope Lloyd isn't evil. He was an awesome dude. But what would corrupt him into destroying Palmacoasta? I can't wait to get this game.
I know a lot of people who really liked the first one.
I'm going to need to buy a Wii, if just on the chance that this comes out in North America.
I heard the first one blew ff10 out into the dust. This one should be even better, so if you like it get absorbed like the last one!
I have only played mario rpgs. Should I start with this game to break out of the mario rpg mold?
I can't wait this game, should be amazing. I am hooked on the last one. I hope they have a way to transfer stats from old game to the new one.
The real boss isn't the giant skeleton, it's most likely Abyssion, the coliseum enemies, or Neiflheim.
I need this game, there's like a million Wii games I have that I still have to beat but I got to get this one.
Man I love tales of symphonia! Does anyone know when it is released in california? Or if it is.

Sort of like dragon warrior. Loved that game. Must have this one.
I heard from my friend that in this game the only characters you get to use are the 3 main ones, while the other older characters can only be used for a little time. Can someone please give me more info on this? Oh and I hope that this game will be at least as long as the last one with 36 hours being the fastest I could beat it, and somewhere between 70-110 being the longest.

I cannot wait for this game to come out! I loved the first one and this new one should be great.
We Europeans want this for god sake.
I am totally agreeing with you Yazus, why do the Americans get all the first releases. Europeans play games too.

Do you guys even know that the people who kicked your butts over and over again in the coliseum were actually the first tales characters from tales of phantasia - cress, mint, arche, and chester. They were the ones who beat dhaos and they deserve a little respect by being named as the one who rule the roost. Still ToS was freaking sweet, best game ever in my opinion.

Played the game, it's good but it seems a little short once you finish it. It has more scenes with the characters talking and the storyline is great! It turned out to be more of a story than the first one.
Is there going to be a 3rd? I hope so.
I have this game, it is SO awesome, everyone here should get it. The storyline is deep. It's better than the first one. I'm in the last dungeon of the game.
This game is AMAZING! If you played the first one, you seriously have to play this. If you didn't, well, go buy the first one and then play this. 100+ hours in total.

This message is directed to 'symphonia' and 'Tales of Wii', about the bosses. Definitely, Abyss is the biggest boss of the game, because before him, you don't have Devils Arms, and therefore can't beat him using Devils Arms. Once you get them, then you can just kill anything else.
Can we get it online?
It's an amazing game, it has a great story! I loved every second of it.

Oh my god. Have to get this game, the last one was so freaking AWESOME. I just hope it will be out in England. I am so going to get this game. By the way I have never posted anything before I just decided to post now because this is so awesome xx.
I simply adored this game. Great graphics, a strong plot and wonderful characters. It was great to see the return of the old ToS cast. A must have for any Tales fan, and a much welcome addition to anyone's Wii game collection, in my opinion.
