Probably because it isn't developed or published by Nintendo. Remember Nintendo always advertises themselves in their own titles. Example Diddy Kong from Donkey Kong Country. If you noticed his hat, it says Nintendo right on it. Many other Nintendo titles have done this also.

HA! Don't use the Miis, they look way out of place when everybody else looks like hand-drawn generic kawaii ppl. If you get it, do the "Don't use Miis" option. It's WAAAAAAYYY better. That being said, It's a great game and it is very much worth it to buy.
