I know you can't complain about sequels, but when a game gets a sequel, it's usually worse than the last (this statement does not include Nintendo games) and one thing I am wondering about is if the story will still be organized around the observatory.

I've got an idea for the storyline: Bowser aims a meteorite at earth and plans to take it over blah blah blah bad guy stuff so Mario collects a bunch of power stars and uses their power or force or whatever to stop the meteor from plummeting into the earth. And the final battle can take place on the meteorite. I think SMG should have more space themes like riding on rocket ships or spacesuits and you can float around in space and explore black holes and a Yoshi island galaxy and yeah my ideas drag on.

I hope the game includes true cooperative play, where one player is Mario and the other is Luigi and you can explore the galaxy together. That, to me, would be a revolutionary game mode in of itself.

I thought it was fake until I saw Yoshi and that changed my opinion. I agree with your ideas Mischief Shadow. The 1st one was way to easy and short but I loved the gameplay. A bigger HUB would be cool too. I like it to be a big planet with a large city which you unlock parts of as you progress and it has heaps of unique and foreign buildings. My ideas for a plot is a villain in a giant warship goes around sucking the life out of planets and organizations and you need stars for power to break through the fleet. And Bowser could be a playable character throughout the game.
